DANIELA JANEZIC mezzo-soprano
Daniela Janezic was born in Vienna, where she received tuition in recorder and violoncello from the age of six years. Already at an early age she started with choral singing, and intensified this activity upon entering the Vienna Musikgymnasium.
She has been active in the Arnold Schoenberg Choir, the Concentus Vocalis, the Vienna Chamber Choir, and in many other choirs and ensembles.
Since 1996 she has been a member of the Vokalensemble NOVA. After concluding her academic studies in voice education under Prof. Bruneder at the Vienna University of Music, Daniela Janezic began as a teacher of elementary music education, recorder and voice training at the Eggenberg Music School.
In 2006 she moved to the Music School at Frauenkirchen. In recent years she has made children´s voices her intensive concern and has made further studies in the area of voice training for children and for youths.
Since completing the advanced training course «SINGKLASSE» Daniela Janezic leads several singing classes and directs a children´s choir.
For the last two years she has been Departmental Director of singing and voice for the Austrian federal state of Burgenland.
Among other groups, Daniela Janezic sings in the ensemble Company of Music, with whom in December 2010 she took part in the children´s opera Mäusemärchen und Riesengeschichte under the dircetion of Ela Baumann.
Daniela Janezic has a particular predilection for the works of J. S. Bach and his time – and, on the other hand, for contemporary music.
She has been, and is, active as a soloist and a consort singer at notable festivals in Austria and the neighbouring countries (Wien Modern, the Salzburg Festival, the steirischer herbst, Osterklang, at the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, the Freistadt Voice Festival, and many more).
